You can keep the subject title or replace it by using the Subject box. You respond by using the Message box but you may wish to click the Preview button and reread your posting before submitting it by using the Submit button.

You also have the option of attaching a file to the thread for others in the class to review. To do so click on the Browse button

A pop-up window or screen will appear similar to the following that will allow you to browse and select a file to attach.

Click on the file you wish to attach and then click the Open button. The file will automatically be placed in the Attachment box. To complete the process click Submit to post your thread.

Viewing an Attachment
A thread with an attachment is denoted with a paperclip symbol located next to the thread

To view an attachment click and open the tread. You will see the Attachment listed in the information bar of the thread as a link.

Click on the name of the attachment to view the file. To open the attachment in a separate window place cursor on the attachment title but instead of left clicking the mouse to open the file you will need to right click your mouse. A menu box should appear similar to the following, click on the “Open in New Window” and the Attachment will open in another browser window.

In this New Window you can view the file as well as save the file to your computer.
