1.  Is there an age requirement?
You must be at least 23 years old.

2.  Is there a work experience requirement?
You must have at least 36 months of full time work experience beyond high school.  

3.  Are there any additional admission requirements?
Applicants to the MBA program must have a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

4.  Do I have to take an entrance exam?
No, an entrance exam is not required.

5.  What is the required GPA for admission?

 The minimum GPA is 2.80.

6.  Will you please provide your accreditation information?

SACS: LeTourneau is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Ga. 30033-4097-telephone (404) 679-4501, to award associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees.

IACBE: LeTourneau University’s business program is accredited through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

7.  How many hours does it take to complete your degree program?

 The total hours of your Graduate degree will range from 39 –45  hours depending on your specialization choice.

8.  Are there any required prerequisites?

 Finance, Economics and Accounting are the prerequisites for the
 MBA program. However, it is not necessary to have them prior to admission
 because they are included in the program format.

9.  Can I take more than one course at a time?
  Graduate students may only take one graduate course at a time.  This format provides the best opportunity for success for those graduate students balancing family, life, and school obligations.

10.  Do I have to log in at a certain time and is there a required number of log in times?
There is no required number of log-in times; however, failure to log in at least three times a week could result in an absence.  For additional information, please see the course attendance policy in the Course Information section of each online course.

11.  Is there a learning team requirement?
Learning teams will meet online as determined by the instructor and curriculum.

12.  What is the length of the program?

 You can complete the graduate program in 22-25 months depending
 on your specialization choice.

13.  May I switch between on ground and online programs?
Yes, if approved by Student Services.

14.  How soon can I start?
LeTourneau University’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies starts groups year-round.  Check with your Enrollment Counselor for the most current schedule.

15.  Is there a difference between the degree programs offered online compared to the on ground programs?
No, both programs are the same in quality and structure; only the delivery format is different.

16.  I have never taken an online course. Is training provided?
If you are new to online courses, please review the Distance Learning Student Orientation .  In addition, we highly recommend finding out if you have the five qualities of successful distance learners by clicking on the following link from About.com

17.  What are the computer system requirements?
You must have access to a computer with Internet capabilities and a printer. The
recommended computer and software requirements for online courses are available at: http://online.letu.edu/login/requirements.html.
 
18.  Are E-books used or regular textbooks?
Students will use regular textbooks that will be delivered by UPS to their home or office at least one week prior to each course start date.

19.  How are my assignments submitted to the instructor?
Assignments are submitted via the “Digital Drop-box” that is a special online feature. Instructions for using this feature are provided in the student orientation.

20.  Will test and/or quizzes be given online?
Yes, all test and quizzes will be given online.  You can actually view and take a sample quiz when you take the “test drive” of the online program.

21.  If I experience any technical problems who do I contact?
If you are experiencing technical problems (i.e. problems with your computer, password, Internet connection, accessing the course site), technical support staff is available to assist you. Tech Support can be reached at TechSupport@letu.edu or 903-233-3500 and additional resources are available at: http://online.letu.edu.

22.  Can I change my specialization after I start the program?
Yes, you will be given an opportunity to change and/or confirm your specialization selection approximately halfway through the degree program.  Student Services will contact all students at this point and confirm the specialization choice.

Admissions Process


23.  What are the steps to begin the admission process?
a. Submit an application for admission. This can be done at our website
at https://my.letu.edu/portal/main.html. The application fee is waived for all applications submitted online.
b. Submit a resume that reflects three years of work experience. (Please include
     the month and year of tenure for each position.)
c. Request all official transcripts to be sent directly to your assigned Enrollment
    Representative.


Program Cost

24.  What is the cost to get started?
For those students using federal student loans, your cost at registration is $150.00

25.  What is the cost for books/resource fees?

The cost is $150.00 per course.

26.  How do I qualify for a student loan?
Students in LeTourneau University’s accelerated adult programs usually qualify for the Federal Student Loan as long as they are not in default from a previous Student Loan.  The loan is not income restricted, so you can’t make too much money to qualify.  You must complete and submit the FAFSA to confirm your eligibility.

27.  When should I complete and submit the FAFSA?  
You should begin this process as soon as possible. You can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Be sure you keep copies of all forms for your records.
