South East Asia: Zach Osterloo
Zach Osterloo serves as a missionary pilot in SouthEast Asia with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
His job focuses on providing any needed aviation transportation for fellow Christian workers and
missionaries who cannot otherwise reach indigenous tribes. These remote areas are receiving
the Bible in their own languages for the first time. Zach also works to supply remote areas
and workers with needed supplies, including medical
supplies. In addition,
he has recently been working on computer programming projects for Wycliffe.
Outside of Zach's flying time, he is also a flight instructor to people in SouthEast Asia who want to become pilots. He teaches his students with the hopes of their joining him in his work as a missionary pilot. He not only teaches them how to fly, but Zach also invests time into influencing his students spiritually and academically.
During his time at LeTourneau, Zach used his gift of piano playing to perform at various Trustee events. He also worked as a flight instructor after graduation, which is one of his most memorable times at LeTourneau. When asked how LeTourneau impacted his life, Zach claimed, "I wouldn't be able to serve in this capacity as a pilot in Christian ministry without the training I received at LeTourneau."
