R.G. LeTourneau's 125th Birthday

125th Birthday Celebration

November 30, 2013 will mark what would be the 125th birthday of R.G. LeTourneau, the world famous inventor, entrepreneur and philanthropist dubbed 'God's businessman.' He is also the founder of LeTourneau University.

Mr. LeTourneau founded LeTourneau University, with his wife, Evelyn, in 1946. As humble stewards of his legacy, we view this occasion as an ideal time to pause and reflect upon not only the incredible achievements of our founder, but also his fervent commitment to honoring Christ through his work.

Mr. LeTourneau was passionate about his faith. He was an inspiration in work ethic. He embodied the same spirit of ingenuity and exploration that carries on in every one of our students and alumni today. And we as an institution are dedicated to living out his legacy.

R.G. was a man who moved both the hearts of men as well as mountains, ever seeking God's best. His life's verse was Matthew 6:33: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."
