LETU GOLF
COMPETES AT CALLAWAY
GARDENS
PINE MOUNTAIN, GEORGIA – The LeTourneau University men’s golf team went
on the road to Georgia for the Callaway Collegiate Invitational on Monday and
Tuesday and struggled to a 13th place finish one week after winning
the Schreiner University Invitational.
The YellowJackets shot 315-320=635 on the 7,057-yard, par-72 course. Freshman Christian Sarran (Longview/Spring Hill
HS) took team medalist honors for the second week in a row with two solid
rounds of 77, good for 19th place. Fellow freshman and

teammate Nate McCrary finished one
stroke behind in a tie for 24th place.
The invitational brought a great many top-notch golf teams to the
Callaway
Gardens
course.
Greensboro
College
won the event with a two-day score of 608.
The University
of Mobile
(613), LaGrange
College
(614), Berry
College
(615) and Huntingdon
College
(616) rounded out the top-five team finishers. Jonathan Dudley of
Greensboro
was the individual winner with a three-under par score of
141.
LeTourneau is back in action on Monday, March 22 at the
University
of Dallas
Invitational,
a one-day event.
