LETU Women’s Soccer Falls to UT Dallas,
4-1
LONGVIEW, TEXAS – LeTourneau University dropped a 4-1 decision to
American Southwest Conference East Division rival UT Dallas, Friday
night.
The LadyJackets (3-4, 2-3) were held scoreless for 84 minutes before Heather Andrews
(Bridgewater
Corners, VT/Mid Vermont
Christian)
scored her second goal of the season off a pass from Erica Crim (Henderson/Henderson
HS). The play was set up when
Stevi Peace (Longview/Jakarta
International) crossed a corner pass across the front of the
net.
The Comets (5-2-1,
4-0) played a strong game throughout.
Goals were scored by Tiffany Knobloch, Jessica Beachy, Theresa Buckles
and Robin Kappes. The Comets
defense was the difference in the game.
They only allowed three shots all night and possessed control of the ball
for the majority of the game.
