Here are the scholarship guidelines:

• Each alumnus will receive one coupon for a $1,500 scholarship, and each student can be awarded only one Alumni Scholarship.
• Only qualified, new first-time freshman students incoming for the Fall 2009 are eligible.
  The scholarship can be used only in the university’s traditional student program on the Longview campus.
• Alumni may award the scholarship to their own children or other relatives.
• Students receiving tuition waivers from employee benefits are not eligible.
• Alumni Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in one recruitment project for the Admissions Office each academic year.
• Student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) by May 1, 2009 to be eligible.
• This award is for the 2009-2010 academic year. Future funding is not guaranteed and is dependent upon institutional allocation of funds.
• Student must file the FAFSA each year in order to be eligible.
