Meet the Alumni Office

The LeTourneau Alumni Relations staff work to support the university's alumni community. The alumni team works closely with university staff and students to promote LeTourneau's work and ministry and provide life-long learning opportunities and connections for our graduates.

 

Jamie DeYoung ('03)

Jamie DeYoung joined the Alumni Relations team in October 2014. Prior to returning to her alma mater, Jamie honed her community development and fundraising skills as the Director of Development for the West Virgnina Humanities Council and as the Annual Fund Director at the University of Charleston. While in graduate school, Jamie worked with the admissions team at Bemidji Satate University and also served as the Enrollment Coordinator for Northwestern College.

Jamie received her Master of Science in Educational Leadership degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead in 2012. A summa cum laude graduate from LeTourneau in 2003, Jamie served as president of the Student Foundation, vice president of the Psychology Club, chair of Themelios and was named Senior Woman of the Year.

 

Lauren Land

Lauren Land joined the Alumni Relations team in October 2014. In this role, Lauren helps lead program communications and strategic outreach. She also helps plan both on and off-campus events and alumni reunions. 

Most recently, Lauren served as the director of Career Services at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She also served for six years as the director of the Ouachita Alumni program where she led alumni outreach and strategic communication, campus events and the Tiger Network Leadership Award program.

Lauren is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is married to Kendal Land, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Longview. They have three children: Jackson (9), Carlisle (9) and Evangeline (7). An active member of Junior League of Longview, Lauren is a graduate of Leadership Arkansas and is a current member of the Junior League of Longview. She was a founding board member of Downtown Arkadelphia, a Main Street Arkansas program. 

 

Gail Ritchey ('01)

Gail Ritchey joined the Alumni Relations team in 2009. In this role, Gail helps manage the daily operations of the alumni office, the LeTourneau Alumni Association and the university’s alumni database. She works closely with the alumni team to host such on-campus events as Homecoming & Family Weekend as well as fall student orientation events and commencement activities.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Gail is married to Fred Ritchey, dean of the School of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences at LeTourneau University. They have two children: Laura (Ritchey ’07) Thompson and Freddie (’13). Gail is an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Longview.


2016-2017 Alumni Advisory Council

Interested in making a difference? The LETU Alumni Advisory Council works closely with the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations by providing vital feedback, hosting Homecoming events, hosting events nationwide and being advocates for the university!

Nominations are accepted year round and members are elected once a year. LETU Alumni Advisory Council members commit to two (2) annual meetings at LETU for three terms.
