Miscellaneous Fines
The information below is designed to provide general parameters for fines associated with infractions. Fines constitute one category of disciplinary action; other measures may be included in the complete disciplinary response.
| Firearms, weapons, or unauthorized knives stored in rooms | $250-500 |
| Disregard for, tampering with, or misuse of fire alarms, smoke detectors, extinguishers, emergency lights or exit lights | $200 |
| Causing a fire alarm (accidentally or intentionally) | $50 minimum |
| Setting a fire (indoors or outdoors) | $200 minimum |
| Possession or use of fireworks, firecrackers, or other pyrotechnic or explosive devices | $100-500 |
| Flammable liquids stored indoors | $100 |
| Unauthorized use or possession of University keys | $100 |
| Open flames of any kind without prior administrative approval (including candles and incense) | $100 |
| Possession or use of paintball guns within any building or on campus without previous approval | $100 |
| Possession of prohibited pets | $50/day |
| Prohibited items in the room | $50 |
| Roof-walking or climbing the exterior of any campus building (not in a construction zone) | $200 |
| Throwing food inside or around the dining hall | $50 |
