Personal Tutoring
Struggling with a difficult class? Personal Tutoring is a great way for you to get help.
What is a Personal Tutor?
Personal tutors offer assistance in a variety of General Education courses. If you are having trouble in a certain course, we will attempt to match you with a tutor for individual help or group tutorials.
During tutoring sessions, you may want to ask questions or discuss exams. You decide what you want to work on! We can often help you develop confidence in your ability to discover the answers on your own.
As peer tutors, we know what you are going through and are prepared to help you with whatever difficulties you might have. Personal tutors offer the help you need to get the grades you want. Don’t wait any longer.
Locations and Times
To schedule a tutor, visit the Achievement Resource Center (ARC) in the Student Affairs building next to Glaske Center or visit Tutor Trac. If you are matched with a tutor, you can set your own meeting times. Meetings with your tutor can occur at any place on campus, and even the ARC! Occasionally, small groups are set up with a single tutor due to a high volume of student need.
Becoming a Tutor
Join the ARC Staff! Personal tutors are faculty-recommended students who have at least a 2.5 GPA and have completed tutor training. If you are interested in becoming a tutor, contact ARC@letu.edu
