What is Math Lab?

The Math Lab is a free drop-in tutoring center in the Acheivement Resource Center (ARC) that provides help for most undergraduate math courses.

How can the Math Lab help me?

If you're concerned about succeeding in college-level math classes or want to keep your “A”, you're not alone. Our math tutors can help you in the following ways:

  • answer questions
  • review material for quizzes and tests
  • provide test preparation and test taking tips
  • establish short and long term study goals

Our math tutors have taken many of the math courses, and they can help you with your homework assignments and with using graphing calculators.

How do I use the services in the Math Lab?

The Math Lab provides tutoring on a drop-in basis, which means all you need to do is show up when the Math Lab is open. A tutor will be waiting to assist you individually or in a small group. Check out the Math Lab hours below.

How do I prepare for a math tutoring session?

In order for us to assist you more efficiently, we suggest the following:

  • Come to the Math Lab prepared. Bring textbooks, class notes, course syllabus, etc.
  • Use other resources available to you, such as Tutorial Instruction sessions and review sessions.
  • Be informed about professors' office hours and seek help as soon as possible.
  • Attend all class sessions.
  • Be willing to be helped and put forth effort.

Location & Hours

The Math Lab is located in the ARC  in the Student Affiars building, which is located next to Glaske Center.
