RD: Tyler Hall

I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from high school, I moved to Indiana and attended Taylor University, where I earned a B.A. in Biblical Literature (2012). During my undergraduate years at Taylor, I developed a love for helping my fellow college students and a love for serving the local church. That led me to serve on staff at two local churches following graduation where part of my responsibilities included overseeing ministry to college students and young professionals. Along with working full time, I also earned an M.A. in Christian Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2015).

During my years in full-time pastoral ministry, my love for working with college students grew, and I decided to return to graduate school to focus my attention on working with college students. I returned to Taylor where I earned my M.A. in Higher Education & Student Development (2017). While in graduate school I worked in the office of the Vice President for Student Development, where I worked on Title IX policy, assisted in the development of curriculum on higher education administration for students in Ecuador, and helped with various administrative tasks for the department.

In my free time you will find me with my wife, Corry out and about in Longview. If I am at home, you can find me experimenting with new methods of brewing coffee, watching something on Netflix, or preparing for whatever trip my wife and I are planning at the time.

I came to LeTourneau in July of 2017 to become the Resident Director of Tyler Hall. I believe that college is not only a time to prepare for a chosen career field, but a time when young men and women and grow as a whole person. I love coming alongside students through conversations and experiences that shape who they will become, and challenging their thinking in a way that shows them how to see different perspectives. I consider it a great privilege to have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the men of Tyler Hall.
