Chapman earns ASC East Division honors
RICHARDSON, Texas
– LeTourneau University outside hitter Kristen Chapman earned a pair
of American Southwest Conference East Division volleyball honors Tuesday.
Chapman, a 6-foot native of Richland, Mich., was named the American
Southwest Conference East Division Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year and also garnered ASC
Second-Team honors. As a junior, she played in all 28 matches, leading the team in kills with
326.
Jessica Nassau of UT-Dallas was selected the ASC East Most Valuable
Player as teammate Melanie Power earned freshman of the year honors. Marci Sanders and Zach
Villarreal were named ASC East Division Coaching Staff of the Year. Kourtney Adams of East Texas
Baptist garnered newcomer of the year honors.
