Jackets Take Series From NTCC - Wrap Up Fall Season

LONGVIEW, TX - The LeTourneau University YellowJacket softball team wrapped up their traditional 4 week fall season playing host to North Texas Community College in a triple header. Coming off their best season ever, the YellowJackets were anxious to take to the field. “We were tired of playing against ourselves” said first year Head Coach Mike VanBrocklin. “While the practices and scrimmages were intense each day, it was good for us to be on the same side as a team and go against some different faces.” The Jackets took this series 2 games to 1.

This year’s team welcomes back 10 returnees from last year’s record breaking season while adding 10 new players to the mix. “As a coach, it’s a great feeling to be able to look out on the field and see players who have been there before and have experience. On the other side of things, being able to mix in fresh faces is only going to make us stronger this year.”
