LETU Women's Soccer ninth in ASC Preseason Poll
RICHARDSON, Texas – The LeTourneau University women’s soccer team was picked to
finish ninth Thursday in American Southwest Conference Preseason Poll.
The poll is voted on by ASC coaches and sports information directors.
LeTourneau garnered 161 points to take the ninth spot as Hardin-Simmons, which went 20-2
overall and 12-0 ASC, had 25 first-place votes to take the top spot with 389 points. UT-Tyler had
two first-place votes to take second with 358 points. Mississippi College (307), UT-Dallas (305),
Mary Hardin-Baylor (299), East Texas Baptist (244), Howard Payne (225), Texas Lutheran (192),
Concordia-Texas (141), Ozarks (126), Schreiner (96), Louisiana College (63) and McMurry (34)
rounded out the poll.
Hardin-Simmons swept the ASC Preseason Players of the Year honors as Katie Kuykendall earned
offensive player of the year, while Sarah Stansell was tabbed the defensive player of the
year.
