Posey earns ASC Offensive Player of the Year honors
RICHARDSON, Texas – LeTourneau University’s Kirby Posey was named Thursday the
American Southwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year as the YellowJackets
placed six players on the all-conference teams.
Posey (SR, MF, Longview, Texas), who also earned first-team honors, led the team in goals and
points, while being tied for second in assists. She recorded 14 goals and four assists for 32
points. Posey had four game-winning goals.
“Kirby has played exceptionally well this year and is well-deserving of this honor,”
LeTourneau head coach David Plunk said. “She has battled many injuries in her first three years,
but has been able to battle and play very well in spite of them. We are going to miss her as a
friend just as much as her leadership and playing ability. Kirby will definitely go down as one of
the best players to compete at any sport at LeTourneau.”
