LETU Men’s Soccer Earn 6 ASC Honors

RICHARDSON, TEXAS – The American Southwest Conference announced on Tuesday their men’s soccer individual awards and all-conference teams for 2008. LETU had 4 players named among the top performers on the field this year, with midfielder Dillon Holt, who scored eight goals this season, earning ASC Co-Offensive Freshman of the Year as well as 2nd team all-conference honors.

The Jacket’s had 3 additional players who grabbed 2nd team all-conference accolades, including two seniors, defender Ryan Rector and forward Daniel Iya, and freshman goalkeeper Kyle Davis.

Iya, also took home the first annual ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year award.

LETU finished the season 9-9-2 overall and 7-4-2 in conference.
