Thirteen Named to ASC Academic Honor Roll

RICHARDSON, TEXAS – The American Southwest Conference released its Academic All-Conference award winners on Wednesday for men’s and women’s basketball.  The LeTourneau University basketball teams combined to put 13 student-athletes on the list.

To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered in the 2007-08 season, be in at least the second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better.

The YellowJacket men placed an ASC high seven student-athletes on the list.  Juniors Josh Davis (Longview/Brookville HS) and Dusty Evers (White Oak/White Oak HS) and sophomores Eric Clark (Shreveport, LA/Grawood Christian HS), Jesse Hayes (Missouri City/Hightower HS), Marcel Louimeus (North Miami Beach, FL/Miami Beach HS), Zac Majors (Willis/Willis HS) and Matt McLaughlin (Sunnyvale/North Mesquite HS) all made their first appearance on the Honor Roll.
