7 Days of Prayer
Prayer and Focus: Take time. Focus on a single line of the Lord's Prayer each day.
Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4
Day Four: Saturday, January 12, 2008
And forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against us.
Admit sins to the Father. Ask God to forgive us
when we fail, as LETU and as individuals.
- Luke 6:41-42 —“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (NIV)
- Psalm 103:10-12 —He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins. (MSG)
- Mark 11:25 —“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (NIV)
- 1 John 1:10 —If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. (NLT)
Pray for friends and family; pray for enemies.
Remember our LETU brothers and sisters who study,
work, and worship—here and around the world.
