SCHEDULE:

Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The qualified candidate will be successful in an environment with a wide variety of technical demands and minimal supervision. Good communication, personal accountability and ownership of projects will be essential to success. This position’s responsibilities will involve supporting the programming needs for several of the key Information Systems used at LeTourneau. Development and Business Analysis with LeTourneau University’s Student Information System will be a part of the responsibilities. Other responsibilities will include understanding and creating reports and automation with SQL tools.  Other projects will involve development in .NET, Java and PHP.  Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of quickly mastering new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in a similar position including a minimum of one year of experience as a programmer. Experience with PHP, Perl, CGI, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (JEE v6) and SmartGWT will be helpful. Experience with Apache, IIS web server, various database systems including Microsoft SQL and Informix, and related utilities a plus. Systems Admin experience in Linux/Unix environments also helpful. Successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage many divergent and pressing tasks with a minimum of direct supervision.
