Undergraduate Program Director

Twelve-month administrative and faculty position. Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

• Responsible for all program planning and evaluation activities, including coordinating program goals and strategies from the school’s strategic plan; assessment of student learning outcomes; oversight of periodic program reviews.
• Responsible for leading program faculty in the development of new programs and curriculum for on-ground, on-line, and hybrid courses, and managing the processes of curricular change and review.
• Responsible for the continued growth and development of the nontraditional online business programs to include new program offerings and new populations served.
• Responsible for management of the program faculty, which may include certifying and maintaining documentation related to faculty credentials; assigning courses, in concert with the dean, to achieve workload balance and to ensure adequate coverage for course offerings.
• Responsible for faculty evaluation including the completion of periodic course observations for quality assurance and annual faculty evaluations, to ensure faculty provide a strong, student-focused educational environment through consistent adherence to course rubrics, student competencies and outcomes, and course pedagogy.
• Responsible for planning documents (goals and objectives) for the program, as well as, preparing annual budget requests for the program and administer program budget accounts.
• Responsible for developing an assessment plan, coordinating assessment activities and, where appropriate, providing documentation for external, regional, and professional accreditation program reviews.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining materials and processes that promote recruitment and retention of undergraduate students in the program.
• Responsible for driving program and department initiatives designed to achieve student outcomes, completion rates, persistence, and other goals and metrics as outlined in the University’s strategic plan. Also provides regular assessment of these initiatives in attaining goals and holds self and direct report accountable for implementation.
• Responsible for investigating and resolving student and faculty educational problems requiring academic actions in consultation with pertinent individuals and departments, under the direction and approval of the Dean of the School according to the policies and procedures of the University. 
• Responsible for representing the academic program’s interests in both internal and external endeavors, including coordinating program advisory boards; serving as a liaison between the program and other campus constituencies; and participating in community events in which the program is represented.

•   The successful candidate must have a terminal degree and be qualified to teach in the content area.
• Must provide evidence of successful teaching experience at the university level; minimum of five years preferred. Evidence of progressive administrative experience in higher education, experience in nontraditional education preferred. Experience teaching in an online environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative style of communication and leadership.
• Must be a self-starter who can lead LeTourneau’s vision for exceptional and highly-engaging learning experience for both traditional and nontraditional online and blended programs.
• Ability to network effectively and work collaboratively with industries and businesses to develop the Business program to its fullest potential.
