SCHEDULE:

The position is a full-time, tenure-track position with teaching during the fall and spring semesters, with the possibility of summer school teaching. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays, but will include some evening classes and independent studies. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.
 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, development of significant scholarly endeavors, innovative curriculum development, advising students, and serving on university committees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith who is committed to teaching at a small, dynamic Christian university where the integration of faith and academic excellence is paramount. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or near completion in Civil Engineering. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about academic excellence and preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the vocation of engineering. Desired areas of expertise are in water resources and/or environmental engineering.  A Ph.D. is expected along with demonstrated initiative and creativity. We desire applicants with a strong interest in developing funded research to support our new M.S. Engineering degree and demonstrated evidence of scholarly work or significant industrial experience. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of outstanding potential in teaching and applied research and be eligible to become a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
