POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This year round full-time tenure-track faculty member will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Care Management. Classes will be taught at the Dallas center of LeTourneau University and online. The faculty member will also serve as the Director of LeTourneau's new Health Care Management program, contingent upon program approval of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An earned doctorate in Health Care Management or a closely related area from a regionally-accredited institution.
- Significant professional experience in Health Care Management. Experience in nonprofit environments will be helpful.
- Proven ability to teach college effectively, in face to face and online formats, as well as evidence of successful teaching to non-traditional students.
- Ability to network effectively and work collaboratively with hospitals and other health care providers in Texas in order to develop the Health Care Management program to its fullest potential.
- Proven ability to conduct academic research in the field of Health Care Management.
- Ability to integrate elements of their personal Christian faith into the Health Care Management classroom in order to prepare students well to practice their faith effectively and appropriately in the professional Health Care environment.
- Understanding of best practices regarding curriculum development for online and non-traditional courses.
