
About LeTourneau University
LeTourneau University is an interdenominational, evangelical Christian university of more than
3,500 students. Academic majors include the aeronautical sciences, business, education,
engineering, engineering technology, the liberal arts and natural sciences.
LETU’s 162-acre main campus is located in Longview, Texas, serving nearly 1,400 students.
LETU serves more than 2,100 students through online programs and at Texas education centers in
Austin, Bedford, Dallas, Houston and Tyler.
LeTourneau University is consistently recognized by
U.S. News and World Report as one of "America's Best Colleges" and has also been honored
for distinguished community service by being named to the President’s Higher Education Community
Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts.
LeTourneau is a national university, drawing a majority of our student body from across the
country. LETU students represent almost all 50 states, approximately 20 foreign countries, and
more than 45 different denominational groups. This diversity makes for a rich educational
experience.
Entering freshman class averages of SAT scores range from approximately 140-160 points above
the national average, and our students evidence a strong academic ability, although provision is
made for students with lower scores who possess evidence of potential achievement.
