LeTourneau University has recently completed a search for a new textbook fulfillment solution and on-campus store operator. After much prayer and research, Tree of Life Bookstores has been selected to operate the campus store beginning in July 2013. The campus store is located on the first floor of the Memorial Student Center on our Longview campus. Normal store hours are M-F 9am-5pm, with extended hours for special occasions. The bookstore can be contacted by calling 903-233-3690 or by emailing CampusStore@letu.edu.

Tree of Life is a family-owned and faith-based company, founded in 1997 by Darren and Nancy Campbell and Gary and Pam Minnich. Tree of Life started with a single community bookstore in Marion, Indiana and today partners with twenty-two Christian colleges and universities nationwide. When we heard the story of Tree of Life, we soon discovered that one of our employees played a major part in the start of the company. Scotti McDowell, Senior Programmer/Analyst in our I.T. department, was attending Indiana Wesleyan University, and was involved in the youth group where founder Darren Campbell was a youth pastor. Scotti asked why Tree of Life Bookstore could charge less for a Bible than IWU's campus bookstore. This pushed Tree of Life to start fulfilling books for some students, which eventually led the company to where it is today. From those first moments, Tree of Life has continually pushed to create innovative ideas that provide solutions for both administrations and students.
Textbook Butler is one of these innovative ideas that LeTourneau University is bringing to campus. It is designed to eliminate long lines outside the campus bookstore. If students participate in the Textbook Butler Program, Tree of Life will automatically receive the student’s schedule, fill the order with new, used, or rental textbooks (based upon the preference selected) and deliver the course materials. Students and parents consistently appreciate this convenient and dependable service.
