For your convenience, LeTourneau offers you several ways to give a donation to the University. We accept credit card gifts online, by mail and by phone. Checks can be sent to LeTourneau as well, if preferred. You can set up automatic giving from your bank account or via your credit card. Gifts can be given in memory or in honor of individual(s) and if the person to be notified is given, we will send them a gift notification card. Matching gifts from your employer, gifts of stock, wire transfers, and gifts of donated goods (gifts-in-kind) are also welcomed and accepted.
LeTourneau University is recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c) (3) organization. Federal tax identification number is #75-1081109. All gifts are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed or as noted on your donation receipt. Gifts designated to cover the expenses of individual students are not tax-deductible. Gifts designated for restricted scholarship funds are tax-deductible as long as the criteria are not limited to benefiting only one specific individual.

The plan allows you to designate a specific amount to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month (minimum $25). The amount is then transferred to LeTourneau University. The transfer will appear on your monthly bank statement. The process is similar to direct depositing a paycheck. Donations will be deducted on the 18th of each month.

Gifts-in-kind refer to non-cash donations of materials or long-lived assets. Examples include items such as art objects, prized collections, antiques, products, computer software and hardware, office products and supplies, educational materials, etc. Gifts-in-kind can be designated as one time gifts or as on-going programs.
All gifts-in-kind to LeTourneau University must be approved by the offices of University Development, Business and Finance, and the department responsible for receiving the actual gift.
LeTourneau University will issue a receipt indicating that a gift-in-kind has been received; however, LeTourneau does not value the gift-in-kind on the gift receipt. The donor is responsible for obtaining the fair market value at the time of the gift. If the gift-in-kind is valued by the donor at more than $5,000, then an appraisal must be obtained by the donor. We suggest you contact a tax accountant concerning how these donations may apply to your individual tax issues.

LeTourneau University joins you in honoring a friend, loved one, faculty member, classmate or those who have impacted your life. Your gift in honor or in memory will have a significant impact as you honor or memorialize the individual as it impacts today’s LETU students.
Gifts in memory of someone are made to recognize those who have left an unforgettable legacy.
Gifts in honor are made to provide special recognition for a family member, friend, or colleague to commemorate a special day in their lives such as a birthday or anniversary or simply to say thank you.
You can designate any size gift as a memorial gift or a gift in honor. We will notify the contact person of your gift but we do not reveal the dollar amount of your gift. A special message can be included if provided. If you would like to have LeTourneau University envelopes available at a funeral or memorial service, or would like more information on a specific gift idea, please contact Angie Bartel or call 800-759-8811 or 903-233-3831.
