Hometown:

Junction City, Oregon

Faith Journey:

I've been A Christian since I was a kid, but I got serious about it in high school. At LETU I learned what it meant to live it out. I worked in Eastern Europe for two years after I graduated from LETU, and that humbled me more than any other experience I've ever had.

About me:

I grew up in Oregon, and when I was in high school, started checking out aviation schools. LETU clearly offered an outstanding program, and was a Christian school to boot... it was an obvious choice. I loved it here! I was a charter member of the "Sting" Precision Flight Team, and got involved in student leadership. Upon graduating, I decided to leave aviation for a bit and work at a university in Lithuania for two years. I met a girl from California (her name is Tamryn), one thing lead to another... we got married in 2006 and returned to the USA. It's great to be back at my Alma Mater serving students checking out our program!

Interests:

Hanging out with my wife, aviation history, literature, building model aircraft, cooking/baking

Favorite moment at LeTourneau:

Chasing a small tornado with my friends one Sunday afternoon, and nearly getting "arrested" by an angry volunteer fire fighter in Tatum, TX

Favorite faculty/staff member within my focus:

I can't really pick a favorite. The aeronautical science faculty taught me about aviation, but they also taught me about living life as a person of grace.

College Advice [-]

Coolest thing about being a LeTourneau student:

Becoming best friends with fellow students, and being mentored by faculty and staff. These relationships changed my life in ways I never imagined!

Most important thing I learned in college:

How to listen to other people

For high schoolers trying to decide where to go to college:

College is about learning, so don't be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone. Pray and consider what you are investing in before staying close to home and/or going to the cheapest possible option. And, study hard for your SAT and ACT tests!
