Taking a Closer Look

Take a Look at
our Transfer Guide

Students who have graduated from high school or have satisfied the testing requirements for the GED and have enrolled full-time at a college or university are considered transfers. All transfer students are required to submit the following items to the admissions office for evaluation:

  1. Application for Admission – Submit a completed and signed Application for Admissions through the MyLETU web portal or download and mail in a printed version of the Application. The Application Fee is $15 for online applications and $25 for paper applications. Applications for former students, former applicants, and special students are also available through MyLETU and may be downloaded from the Apply Online page.
  2. Official Transcript[s] – Submit official transcripts of academic work from any college attended. If you are currently enrolled at a college or university then send a transcript of the courses completed and a list of the course work in progress. At the conclusion of the semester have a final, official transcript sent to LeTourneau. Transfer students should have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Submit Two References – Christian Character and Academic.
    • The Christian Character Reference may be completed online or it may be downloaded (52Kb).
    • The Academic Reference may be completed online or it may be downloaded (52 Kb). If you have been out of school for more than one year and do not have a current teacher/professor who can fill this out for you then you may ask your employer to complete the reference.
    • If you are transferring from another Christian college or university you'll also need to have the Christian College Transfer Recommendation form completed. If you would like the form sent to you in the mail then contact your admissions counselor or download it here.

Former LeTourneau Students

If you have previously been enrolled at LeTourneau University and wish to re-enter after a period of non-attendance (from one semester to four semesters), you must complete the following procedures for admissions:

  1. The Application for Former Students is available through MyLETU web portal or may be downloaded and mailed/faxed in. Former students do not have to pay an application fee.
  2. Official Transcripts - Students must submit official transcripts of any academic work completed at other institutions since being enrolled at LeTourneau University. After an absence of two or more semesters, students will be subject to the requirements of the most recent catalog .
