Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG)
Texas residents attending a private institution in Texas such as LeTourneau University are eligible to be considered for a Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) from the state of Texas. Grants are need-based and may be up to $3,800 per year. Students who have completed the regular financial aid application process will be nominated to the state agency for this grant by the Financial Aid Office. Students must earn and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 24 credit hours per year. Three-quarter time enrollment is required. More information is available here.
Other State Grant Programs
Some states send grants to their students who choose to study at an out-of-state institution. We
advise all students to be sure their home state gets a copy of the completed FAFSA or the financial
aid form the family completes so the state will know where enrollment is planned.
