Take the opportunity this summer to prepare for college with students like you – at a university where home schoolers are a major part of the campus community. Join us July 15-18, 2012 at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, to learn what it takes to conquer university life, spend time in worship, check out campus and hang out with other home schooled students heading to college. Check out the information below and the links above to learn more about attending the 2012 Home School Symposium.

LeTourneau University’s 2012 Home School Symposium is open to home schooled 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. (Eligible applicants are home school students who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school in Fall 2012.)

Your family is welcome to join you to attend the symposium’s parent-focused seminars and activities (though their presence is not required.) While you’re busy experiencing a preview of university life each day, they will take advantage of sessions focusing on the advancement of home school education and how to support your transition to college.

Spend time this summer discovering a university that understands you. Home schoolers are a key component of the LETU community – a community where authentic Christianity meets authentic academics. Many of our faculty and staff home school their own children, and more than 18% of our student body were home schoolers themselves. Learn more about being a home schooler at LeTourneau University.

After decades of educating home school students, LETU has the single largest endowment solely dedicated to home schooled student scholarships ever established – and a four-day summit of some of you, the most successful home school students around the country.

To be considered for admission to the 2012 Home School Symposium, complete and submit the following application by July 1, 2012. Accepted applicants will be notified beginning in mid-May, and within a week of applying after that.
