Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to take the TOEFL?
A: You must show proof of English proficiency. If you live in an English speaking country, then you do not need to take the TOEFL. The Admissions Office will check your SAT or ACT scores along with any English classes on your transcript as an alternate way to determine English proficiency.
Q: Will I get credit for classes I have taken at another university?
A: If you have taken classes at a university outside the U.S., then you need to contact Educational Credential Evaluators to have your transcript reviewed and sent to LeTourneau University.
Q: Are there scholarships for International students?
A: LeTourneau University offers merit-based scholarships to international students. The financial aid website has information on transfer and freshman merit-based scholarships. For students who do not receive a merit-based scholarship, LeTourneau offers an International Incentive Grant.
Q: When should I plan on arriving to campus?
A: Every year LeTourneau University offers an International Student Orientation for all international students along with students who have grown up overseas as missionaries. This typically begins one week before classes start and is followed by the main Orientation for all incoming students.
