How to Prepare for Registration

Registration is easy, especially when you are prepared.  Getting prepared for registration does not require a lot of your time.  However, there are a few things you can do to ensure your registration experience goes well.

  1. Send in your high school and college transcripts before you arrive.

If you are new to college, final official high school transcripts are required for you to stay in your classes. You must contact your high school and request that your official transcript be sent to your admissions counselor immediately.

If you are transferring any previous college work to LeTourneau University (LETU), you must also send official transcripts for review prior to registration.   If you bring your college transcripts with you to orientation or registration, your college transfer credit may have to be applied after you register for classes.  Therefore, it is very important that your transcripts are received early.  You may send these transcripts to the address below:

    P.O. Box 7001
    Longview, TX 75607-7001

  2. Keep your major updated.

Because your advising at registration is dependent upon the major you choose, be sure to keep your admissions counselor updated to any changes in your major course of study. This helps keep the registration process smooth and makes sure you get to see the instructors you need to select your classes.

  3. Make sure your Financial Aid file is complete.

Finalizing arrangements with Financial Aid before registration is important.  If you have not done so or have questions, you may contact the Financial Aid Office at 903-233-4350 or 1-800-759-8811.
