Congratulations on your decision to study abroad! Whether it is for a few short weeks or an entire year, this will be one of the most enriching experiences of your life. The Office of International Studies is here to help you on your way.
You must get approval through the LETU Office of International Studies before applying to any of the LETU exchange/partnership programs or third-party study abroad consortium programs.
The LETU Study Abroad Application Deadline is:
October 6 (to go in Spring/Summer 2017)
March 2 (to go in Fall 2017)
Faculty-Led Academic Travel trips and Global Service Learning projects have different trip-specific applications and deadlines. Contact the International Studies Officer for more information.
Step 1: Contact the International Studies Officer to discuss your interest in studying abroad.
Step 2: Complete the following forms and submit them to the International Studies Officer:
Step 3: AFTER the International Studies Officer notifies you that your application has been approved, complete the specific study abroad program's (e.g. Best Semester, HGU, etc.) application and submit it to the International Studies Officer and then to the study abroad program's admissions office.
Step 4: Apply for a passport if you do not already have one.
Step 5: Upon acceptance to the specific program, apply for a student visa with the assistance of the study abroad program. Please note that visa processing can take weeks, so don’t delay this important step.
Step 6: Make payment arrangements with the LETU Student Accounts.
