You must get approval through the LETU Office of Global Initiatives before applying to any of the LETU partner programs or third-party programs.
The LETU Study Abroad Application Deadline is:
October 5 (for Spring/Summer semester study)
March 5 (for Fall semester study)
Faculty-Led Academic Travel trips and Global Service Learning projects have different trip-specific applications and deadlines. Contact the Office of Global Initiatives for more information.
Step 1: Contact the Office of Global Initiatives and make an appointment to discuss your plan to study abroad. This is a key part of the process.
Step 2: Complete the following forms and submit them to the study abroad coordinator:
Step 3: AFTER the study abroad coordinator notifies you that your application has been approved, complete the specific study abroad program's (e.g. Handong Global, Best Semester, etc.) application and submit it to the Global Initiatives Office and discuss how to proceed with the specific application.
Step 4: Apply for a passport if you do not already have one.
Step 5: Upon acceptance to the specific program, apply for a student visa with the assistance of the study abroad program. Please note that visa processing can take weeks, so don’t delay this important step.
Step 6: Make payment arrangements with the LETU Student Accounts.
