Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply?

These interdisciplinary learning opportunities are available to sophomore, junior and senior students who have been enrolled at LeTourneau for at least one year.

The student should consult with his or her academic advisor to determine the applicability of the credit earned towards his or her major. The student must be enrolled at LeTourneau University during the semester spent at each of these off-campus programs.

In addition to tuition, LeTourneau University students who participate in off-campus study programs will be assessed a $350 fee per semester to cover administrative costs of dual enrollment incurred by the University.

Can I use federal aid to pay for the program?

Enrollment in a program of study abroad approved for credit by the home institution (LETU) may be considered enrollment in the home institution for purposes of applying for federal student financial aid.

Typically you can apply your federal aid to most study-abroad programs. However, every program is different, so please visit the Office of International Studies as soon as you can to determine whether your federal aid can be applied toward your chosen program.

How do I pay for the program?

Every program is different. Please contact the International Studies Officer (Sarah Epling - StudyAbroad@letu.edu) to discuss payment options.
