School of Engineering & Engineering Technology

Where professional preparation and faith combine

Graduates from our School of Engineering and Engineering Technology have excellent job opportunities and are ready to make an impact in their field of choice. Our rigorous academic programs include engineering degrees in seven different disciplines, engineering technology degrees in five disciplines, and two different engineering master's degrees. Whether you want to pursue a career in biomedical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, materials joining, or mechanical engineering, we offer degree options and expert instruction to prepare you for your career.

The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology is committed to providing not only academic excellence, but also an understanding of how faith in Christ can be integrated into the professional workplace. Faculty and staff are dedicated to building a Christ-centered community and preparing students to impact the world for Christ. We want to help you learn more about how God can use your gifts and interests in the field of engineering to become a servant-leader in a variety of different workplaces!

Our engineering faculty come from diverse backgrounds of professional practice, research, academia, company ownership, entrepreneurship, ministry, and military service.  Our faculty view teaching and research at LeTourneau as their way of helping students prepare to impact the engineering profession for Christ.

Our program is centered around providing the ultimate hands-on engineering experience, which means learning isn’t confined to the classroom! All of our students gain practical experience in our extensive engineering facilities, working with manufacturing and testing equipment as learning aids, in guided labs, for class projects, and for individual projects and research.

Every engineering student spends two semesters working on a capstone, large-scale senior design project.  These projects cover a wide variety of different engineering topics, including fundamental research, humanitarian and missions work, entrepreneurship, and design competitions. Learn more about our recent senior design projects, from the LetSat nanosatellite team to the SafeHome disaster-relief housing team.

While learning in the classroom and working on projects are fundamental to developing engineering skills, many students also are looking for additional chances to expand their engineering experiences. We offer numerous opportunities for students to get involved in other ways, including individual research experiences, internships, studies abroad, student clubs, and memberships in professional societies.

Join us!  Be part of the next group of extraordinary soon-to-be LETU engineers poised to impact God’s world in significant and rewarding ways.
