Electrical Engineering Entry Preparation

The best preparation for engineering studies is a good background in high school math and science-

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Algebra /Precalculus
• Trigonometry

We’d actually prefer that you have a strong background in algebra, precalculus and trig, rather than an introductory course in calculus – We’ll teach you that here.

 

The basic entrance expectation is four units of high school English, two units of algebra, one unit of geometry, one-half unit of trigonometry, and one unit of science (chemistry or physics). Both chemistry and physics are desired.

Success in college courses is related to a number of factors, including background preparation, study skills, effort, motivation, and perseverance. We do want to see you succeed.
