  • The development of software tools for concurrent systems with focus on the following topics.
  • Automatic synthesis of concurrency control code for multithreaded programs.
  • Methods for representing software and software specifications with Petri nets.
  • Rules and heuristics for a computationally efficient application of supervisory control methods.
  • Specification languages and translators.
  • Supervisory control algorithms for software applications.
