Buildings

Our completely renovated education building re-opened in the fall of 2002. Check out the virtual tour of our facility.

  • Curriculum Library
    • The library in this room holds all education programs and materials that were used in Texas schools since 1998. I promise you’ll find all the answers to your educational queries here.
  • K-6 Classroom Laboratory
    • It’s a learning lab. Students set this up as a classroom and practice before trying the real thing- kids and all. They have colorful mats, kids magazines (remember highlights?) educational toys, abacus (it’s a big thing with dots that helps kids learn to count). It’s an observation room so there’s a two-way mirror, so the students can see in, but the kids can’t see out.
    • “It’s called the pre-K6 lab and it’s the ideal classroom, it has all the stuff teachers dream of having.”
      -Whitney Barnes, Child Development
  • Media Technology Room
    • This room is chock full of materials for education students, die-cut machines, pipe cleaners, construction paper, lamination machines, education computer lab, pc computers at least one Mac for artsy projects—whatever you need to get the job done.
  • 117
    • This is the largest classroom on campus. Usually, it serves as a lecture hall.
