Faith Journey: Ever since I can remember, God has been in my life. I can say that my faith journey started when I was a little kid. Through my family and friends I learned that Jesus Christ is my Savior. Coming to LeTourneau has helped me to reinforce my faith and learn more about God.
Favorite aspect of LeTourneau University: My favorite part of LeTourneau is the fact that I can play tennis and get a great education at the same time.
Why did you choose Business Administration?
I chose Business Administration for my degree because I was not quite sure which targeted degree I wanted to pursue. I liked that this degree was more universal in covering many different subjects. I also knew I would want to pursue my MBA in the future and thought this would prepare me the best for my future.
What has been your favorite Business Administration course so far?
My favorite course so far has been Principles of Accounting I. Mrs. Bellamy is a great teacher and she was there to help me with any questions I had. This class was challenging but fun at the same time. She will be a professor I will never forget.
What has been the most challenging Business Administration concept for you?
There has not been a concept that stands out to me. However, there is one class in particular that was very challenging for me. It was my Business Law class. The class was challenging because there were so many different laws to understand.
Have you participated in any memorable projects or events for your Business Administration classes?
I am a member of the Professional Accounting Society. I contributed with the idea of building a social network to be more involved with not only LeTourneau students but with everyone who would be interested in knowing more about our society.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far about Business Administration?
The most important thing I have learned so far is that it is important to be ethical in every decision you make. This concept has come up in many different classes when I did not expect it to. As a Christian, this concept is important to me also.
Advice for prospective Business Administration students.
The School of Business at LeTourneau University is a great department. The professors are knowledgeable in all areas of business. They are very flexible with office hours and are always willing to help the students. My advice for future students is to take advantage of the faculty’s willingness to help students.
