Pre-Veterinary Medicine Program
Veterinary medicine is the most difficult profession in which to gain acceptance for training at the doctoral level. Significant experience working with animals is only a starting point. Outstanding academic performance and high Graduate Records Exam (GRE) scores are also necessary to interview for one of these coveted positions each year.
The student will need to also complete an animal nutrition course with lab and take a second semester of biochemistry for application to Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine.
We have a number of local vets with whom the student may observe. These offices often need office assistants or technicians.
* Please note that the pre-health and pre-law programs are not majors. Utilized along with our suggested majors, these programs prepare students for graduate school in their chosen field.
