Introduction

Admission to law or medical school is competitive, but becoming a doctor or lawyer requires more than great grades and high test scores. It requires dedication, hard work and a strong desire to succeed.

LeTourneau University will help you face these challenges with two pre-professional tracks: pre-law and pre-medical (pre-health). Whichever program you choose to pursue, advisers will be there for you each step of the way to help you create a degree plan to help prepare you for the challenges of law or medical school.

Recommended Pre-Health degrees

Bachelor of Science, Biology
Bachelor of Science, Chemistry, Biological Concentration
Science students in action.
Selected pre-health students travel to Kenya, Bangladesh or Sierra Leone with the Limbs team; engineering and science students work together to design and implement a prosthetic leg for developing nations. With the ACL team pre-health students do cadaver dissections to validate a computer model of the anterior cruciate ligament.

Foreign Language Advantage

Bilingual students have an edge over academically superior students lacking fluency in a second language because communication with patients in any of the clinical professions is so important. We encourage students to complete a minimum of 4 semesters of foreign language study.

* Please note that the pre-health and pre-law programs are not majors.  Utilized along with our suggested majors, these programs prepare students for graduate school in their chosen field.
