The Associates of Science in Criminal Justice degree will introduce you to the fulfilling work of criminal justice professionals who work as police officers, probation officers, Homeland Security specialists and more.

An associate degree is highly recommended to establish a career as a criminal justice professional. Criminal Justice Major Course Requirements

  • CRIJ 1303 Introduction to Criminal Justice
  • CRIJ 1313 Criminal Law
  • CRIJ 2303 Criminology
  • Plus 15 hours of CRIJ and/or approved electives (may include approved law enforcement academy credit, military security credit, and/or transfer credits)

Total Criminal Justice and Related Courses: 24 hours


General Education Requirements

The following general education courses are required for the Associates of Science in Criminal Justice degree:

  • Bible (6 hours)
  • Communications/Speech (3 hours)
  • English Composition (6 hours)
  • Literature (3 hours)
  • History (3 hours)
  • Mathematics (3 hours)
  • Natural Science (4 hours)
  • Social Science/Humanities (6 hours)
