Academics

It’s all about high demand and being prepared—matching your gifts and strengths to God’s purpose for your life. That’s your job. Ours is to prepare you to make a difference with outstanding skills (and heart). Is it possible to accomplish all this without a biblical foundation?

That’s why you want a learning experience that is well-rounded: We’re fusing our exceptional, Christ-centered education with global exposure and mentoring by LETU faculty with the expert instruction of UT Tyler’s nursing professionals and their recognized status within the medical community.

The UT Tyler pass rate for the nurse licensing exam
is consistently above 93 percent,
and job placement is about 99 percent.
Some 60 percent of students go on to graduate school
to become educators, nurse practitioners,
nursing administrators and more.

The University of Texas at Tyler has been preparing nurses for nearly 35 years. Through innovation and excellence, the College of Nursing has become one of the largest and most sought-after nursing programs in Texas. What began in 1975 as a degree completion option for associate degree registered nurses has grown into a highly respected, internationally known program that is one of the fastest growing in the state.
