Mission Aviation Concentration
Do you want to use your love of airplanes to help spread the gospel? As a missionary aviator, you’ll fly into some of the most remote landing strips in the world! Get trained to fly, inspect, and repair your plane in jungles, deserts . . . wherever the Lord leads you.
When you graduate with a Mission Aviation Concentration of Aeronautical Science, you’ll have about 190 flight hours. Some are in our multiengine airplanes, and around twenty will be in our high-performance single engine aircraft. With our modern fleet, you'll also be prepared to fly the high-tech turbine aircraft that are quickly replacing older airplanes on the mission field.
But, our mission aviation concentration is about more than just technical training. During our mission aviation internship, you will get to experience cross-cultural missions first hand, before you're on the field. Students in the mission aviation concentration of Aeronautical Science take a 2-3 week "vision trip" as well as a summer long internship with a mission aviation organization.
