Connecting to MyFiles with Windows 7

This article will help you connect your Windows 7 computer to MyFiles.  You should be able to access MyFiles via this method from anywhere you have an internet connection.

First, open a Windows Explorer window, you can do this by clicking on the Start Menu and then clicking on "Computer".  Then click on "Map Network Drive"

Next, add the address for the MyFiles server in the "Folder" field.

Faculty/Staff will enter the following: https://myfiles.letu.edu/fs/

Students will enter the following: https://myfiles.letu.edu/students/ or https://myfiles.letu.edu/fs/

This will make a shortcut to the root of all MyFiles content. You may wish to make more specific links directly to your personal documents or department shares.

Example for personal folder: 

• https://myfiles.letu.edu/students/profiles/students/documents/[username]/ (students)
• https://myfiles.letu.edu/fs/profiles/students/documents/[username]/ (students alt location)
• https://myfiles.letu.edu/fs/profiles/facultystaff/documents/[username]/ (faculty and staff)

Be sure to check the box that is labeled "Connect using different credentials" and then click "Finish". 

You will be prompted for your credentials.  Enter your LetNet user name and password.  Check "Remember my credentials" if you want to save your password. Click on "Ok".

You will now see a network drive on your left that gives you access to MyFiles.  This directory structure will give you access to common files, department/project shares, as well as your personal documents.
