How can I set up and change greetings on department or other "Main number" voicemail boxes?
To change the greeting on a main department or site voicemail you use the Greetings Administrator.
Only one person can change the greeting - typically this individual is the area receptionist, administrative assistant, or other contact. You may contact Information Technology at techsupport@letu.edu if you are unsure who the contact is for your area.
To access, review, or change the greeting on your general area voicemail box, call its extension and press "8" during the greeting. This will connect you to the Cisco Unity Greeting Administrator which will ask you for your ID, followed by the pound key (#).
Your ID is your personal four-digit extension.
Then you will be prompted to enter your Unity pincode (which you can reset if you’ve forgotten it from the “My Voicemail Options” page on the MyLETU portal, located under the IT: Tools section).
Finally the greetings administrator will ask you for the extension of the call handler which is the four digit extension of the voicemail box you are changing.
After that you should be let in and able to navigate the phone menu to change greetings and set alternate, closed greetings, etc (for holidays and other needs).
