LeTourneau University’s LetNet Antispam scans all incoming e-mail messages for spam and virus content. Then, all e-mail is either delivered to LetNet Antispam or to your e-mail inbox. If you are receiving spam, you can navigate to antispam.letu.edu and login with your Letnet username and password. Proceed to the "Preferences" pane. Next, click on "Stream Settings" which is located just underneath the Preferences tab.

Here you can change the threshold for spam. The default Spam Threshold is 5, but you can change the value to a higher or lower score. A lower number will result in less spam getting through; however, the lower the score, the more likely Letnet Antispam will filter legitimate messages.
Under the "Trap Contents" tab, you can view the mail you receive before it gets filtered by Letnet Antispam. All messages likely to be spam (having a score higher than your spam threshold) will be held for thirty days. You can view each message and its score to determine a good spam threshold to have.
Using whitelisting in LetNet Antispam
Whitelisting allows you to tell LetNet Antispam to permit e-mail messages from a sender regardless of the spam content of those messages. You may whitelist based on the sender's e-mail address.
Method 1:
- Log in at http://antispam.letu.edu
- Select Rules from the menu
- Select Senders from the submenu
- Enter the sender's e-mail address
- Click Submit Changes
Method 2:
- Login at http://antispam.letu.edu
- Select Trap Contents from the menu
- Click the Sender
- Click Submit Changes
You should never whitelist the letu.edu domain. Doing so will cause you to receive more spam under certain circumstances.
