IT Equipment Purchase Charges and Rental Rates [MOVED]

- Equipment Purchase Charges
- Duplex (2-jack) Ethernet Network CableDrop: $150
- Price is for typical installation and cabling. Some locations may cost more. Does not include activation of a network port (see below).
- Network Port Activation: $150
- Cost for activating a network port where the cabling and duplex jack already exist but are not currently connected to a network switch.
- IP Phone: $425+
- Various models available beginning at $425/each. Contact us for the right fit for your need.
- Desktop Computer (new): $470+
- Standard faculty/staff desktop configuration is $471.85 (not including monitor/speakers/keyboard/mice). Lab computers or special use cases may require a unique configuration which could increase price. Contact IT to discuss needs.
- Desktop Computer with 22" LCD (new): $600+
- Standard faculty/staff desktop configuration with a 22" LCD is $600. Lab computers or special use cases may require a unique configuration which could increase price. Contact IT to discuss needs.
- CD copy: $4.00/ea.
- IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
- DVD copy: $5.00/ea.
- IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
- VHS to DVD Conversion: $5.00/ea.
- IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
- Equipment Rental
Prior notice of at least 3 business days is requested for equipment rentals. We will attempt to meet needs with less notice where possible. - Cell Phone:
- Domestic:
- Voice/Data/Text Combo: $3/day or $75/month
(400 minutes / Unlimited Data / Unlimited Texting) - International:
- Voice/Data Combo: $110/month
- Voice Costs: In addition to the monthly rate above, calls are billed per minute based on prevailing local rates.

- Data Costs: Currently international data is unlimited on this plan.
- Text Message Costs: Text message rates for each country are in addition to above monthly fee and are described under the "Details" option at the link above
- Other travel periods: For international travel, periods less than a month typically cost approximately the same as rate above.
- Other international options may be available depending on your destination. if you have a local contact where you are traveling we advise contacting them to ask what the most affordable local options are, particularly if you anticipate using a lot of voice minutes or text messages.
- All cell phone rentals are based on availability. Contact us as far in advance as possible for best options.
- Desktop IP Phone: $35/month, $20/week, $5/day
- Rate includes use of Ethernet port and pass-through port on phone if needed for computer.
- Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new network cabling if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
- Rental is based on availability. We have limited desktop phones available for rental. Long-term rentals (beyond 30 days) or high quantity rentals (more than a few phones) may require available purchase/rebate programs.
- Conference IP Phone: $35/month, $20/week, $5/day
- Rate includes use of Ethernet port, no computer-pass-through is available on conference phones.
- Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new network cabling if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
- Rental is based on availability. We have limited conference phones available for rental. Long-term rentals (beyond 30 days) or high quantity rentals (more than a few phones) may require available purchase/rebate programs.
- Ethernet Port: $10/month or $5/day
- Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new duplex cable if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
- Netbook/Notebook: $5/day
- Based on availability. The computers come loaded only with Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Make appropriate preparations if other software is needed.
