Can I have my @letu.edu email account forwarded to another address?

There are a couple of answers to this question.  First, you can set up LetNet WebMail to forward a copy of all new emails to another address.  Also of note, if you are a graduating senior, your LetNet account will be deactivated once you've graduated, but we can forward your mails to another account for up to three months as you transition to a new address. Specifics on both of these avenues are listed below.

Setting up a forwarding rule in LetNet Webmail
You can set up a rule in LetNet Webmail to have it forward a copy of all emails to another address.  To access the part of the webmail interface which allows you to do this, you must use Internet Explorer.  Once you've got the rule in place, of course, you can go back to using any browser you like - but to set up the rule you need to use IE.  If for some reason using IE on your computer is not an option for you, you can always stop by one of the LU computer labs, or use a friend's computer.

Access the Rules interface

In Internet Explorer, visit the LetNet Webmail system at http://mail.letu.edu.  On the left side of the window, toward the bottom, you should find a bar labeled Rules, as pictured here:

Create a New Rule

After selecting Rules, next just hit New rule on the tool bar at the top of the right pane, as pictured below:

This will bring up a window where you'll create the new rule.  Setting up the new rule is simple.  It's a good idea to put a name for your rule in the top field, though not strictly necessary.  Then leave all the other blanks empty, except the last one.  Click the dot next to that last blank, which is marked Forward it to, then fill in the email address you want to forward your messages to.  When you're finished, click Save and Close at the top-left and you are done.

If you are a graduating senior
If you are a graduating senior who is finished with classes, we provide email forwarding for up to three months post-graduation.  If you're going to be graduating soon, have finished with classes and would like to have your mail forwarded, just send an email to support@letu.edu with the following information:

• Identify yourself as a graduating senior
• Your current email address and the one you'd like it forwarded to
• Your student ID number
