Welcome to the LetNet Accounts page. At LeTourneau University, all students and employees are given LeTourneau network (LetNet) accounts, which provide access to the university network and e-mail system. Students and faculty are also given access to Blackboard, which allows on-line access to many class resources, and facilitates interaction among class members.  We recommend that you set your browser's home page to our LetNet Start! page at http://www.letu.edu/start/ to keep up to date on current news and bulletins.

LetNet Accounts
  1. Determining Your LetNet Account Information
To determine your LetNet username, e-mail address, and password, click the "LetNet Account Information" link below. You must be a new student or new employee or a returning student who has not yet retrieved their LetNet account information in order to access your information. You will only be allowed to access this information once, so be sure to remember the information that is displayed.  If you have previously checked this page and have forgotten your username or password, please send an e-mail message to techsupport@letu.edu and include your student ID number, or call the Information Technology help desk at (903) 233-3500.

  2. Accessing E-mail
To access your LeTourneau e-mail, use one of the following methods:
    1. Set up a new mail account in your e-mail program. This process differs based on your particular e-mail program (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, or Netscape Mail). Basically, you will need to set both the incoming mail server (POP3 and IMAP4 are supported) and the outgoing (SMTP) mail server to "mail.letu.edu". More information on setting up e-mail is available at http://www.letu.edu/administrative/infotech/network/services/email/.
    2. Use LeTourneau's web-based mail system, LetNet Mail Anywhere (this can be used on any computer that has access to the Internet):
      1. Point your browser to http://mail.letu.edu .
      2. Enter your LetNet username and password.
    3. If you are using AOL as your internet service provider, you must not use the internet browser that comes with AOL.  That browser does not support the use of cookies which are required for LetNet Mail Anywhere to work.  After you connect to AOL, minimize your AOL screen and then bring up Internet Explorer or another browser you may have outside of AOL.  You may read an article about this in our Frequently Asked Questions section by clicking here .
